Advocating for Single Soldiers

Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) supports the quality of life for single and unaccompanied Soldiers. BOSS identifies Solider issues and provides recommendations for improvement to leadership. BOSS encourages and assists single Soldiers in planning recreational and leisure activities, to include community service opportunities. Follow our MWR Facebook Page to learn about upcoming events!

The hang out spot

The Torii Station Warrior Zone, located in Bldg. #248, is a recreation facility open 24/7 exclusively for single Soldiers and geographical bachelors and their guests. This is an alcohol-free zone. Please see your unit's BOSS representative or use the email link above to get the access code to use the facility.

Torii Auto Skills: Basic Maintenance Class

Learn the basics of car maintenance with Torii Auto Skills! Own a car but afraid to do any work on it? This class is for you. Learn to do some basic functions like checking your oil and tire rotation. This class will meet on Saturdays, December 4th and 11th from 09:30am to 11:30am. Participant must be 16 years of age or older and for safety reasons, closed-toe shoes are required. Call 652-5612 or 098-962-5612 to reserve your spot or for more information.

Torii Arts & Crafts: Make Your Own Christmas Ornament

Join Torii Arts & Crafts in the month of December for a Make Your Own Christmas Ornament class! Choose 3 designs to customize for yourself. Class meets on Saturday, 11 & 18 December from 10am to 11am. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Family Camping Event with Torii ODR

Cooler temperatures are finally here and it's the perfect time to camp outdoors in Okinawa! Torii Outdoor Recreation is pleased to offer a Family Camping event from Saturday, December 11th through Sunday, December 12th at our campgrounds at Torii Beach. Spend some quality bonding time as a family unit while enjoying a peaceful night sleeping under the stars. Join us for a hand-made craft on the beach, a BBQ dinner, then roast some marshmallows by the fire. The next morning, refresh yourselves with a brisk sunrise hike, followed by a continental breakfast. Click here to see the full agenda and details. Price for one adult, one child pair is $65. Each additional child is $25 and an additional adult is $30. Price includes your camp site fee, all materials, activities for weekend, and meals. Sign up by 1800 on 8 December, 2021. Once registered, all participants will receive an email with a packing list, and all details for weekend. No outside grills or BBQs are permitted. Camping items are not included in the event price. 32nd Annual Army vs. Navy Flag Football Game

Tradition runs deep here in Okinawa! Join Navy and Army for the 32nd Annual Army vs. Navy Flag Football game, sponsored by USAA, which will take place on Saturday, 11 December 2021 on Torii Station (softball field behind the gymnasium).

Holiday 5K Fun Run 2021

Torii Physical Fitness Center presents a Holiday 5k Fun Run 2021! Held on Torii Station, this run scheduled for Saturday, 18 December 2021 is perfect for all members of the family (including Fido!). Click here for more details!

Island Trekking Tour with Torii ODR

Join Torii ODR on a trekking tour of northern Okinawa! On Sunday, 5 December, we will be taking a group to Mt. Ishikawa and then on Sunday, 19 December, explore the old historic Old Stone Yamada Bridge and trail. The tour will start at 0900 and last about 2 hours.
